Cleese
Creativity in Leadership
More about the seminar...
John Cleese will be inspiring senior management and organisational
leaders on how creativity in the business world can reap untold
benefits through more effective decision-making.
People are either in an ‘open’ or ‘closed’
state of mind. The closed mode enables people to apply themselves
to tasks with vigor and concentration; the open mode is more
relaxed and conducive to creative thinking.
Cleese shows leaders how to induce an open mode in their team
members and establish confidence in them to accept that there
is a succession of learning steps involved.
In this half day seminar John Cleese will help you
to understand:
• How to think creatively
as a leader
• How to develop a culture
of creativity in your organisation
• How to put people in
an open state of mind
• The importance of the
right attitude towards mistakes
• How creative thinking
leads to effective decision making
John will also show you how an element of creativity in the
business world can reap untold dividends, by helping businesses
to innovate and accommodate change.
His approach to decision making draws on Guy Claxton’s
remarkable and radical book, “Hare Brain, Tortoise Mind”,
to explain why intelligence increases when you think less.
He’ll be illustrating his comments with examples from
Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Wanda and the 120 videos he made
for Video Arts. Many of your senior executives will have experienced
him fronting management and customer service training videos
– these videos continue to be used widely.
John Cleese maintains a steadfast commitment to business
training and attributes his success at corporate training
to his fascination with psychology and his love for acting,
teaching and making people laugh. Many years ago he established
Video Arts, one of the first business training companies to
inject humour into workplace learning.
Take this day to entertain your clients or reward
